  1. Develop, implement, and monitor clinical trials for investigational drugs in collaboration with physicians and researchers.
  2. Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of investigational drugs and provide recommendations for their use.
  3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical trials.
  4. Review and interpret relevant research studies and data to inform clinical trial design and drug selection.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and make recommendations for patient care.
  6. Provide medication therapy management and education to patients and healthcare providers.
  7. Participate in drug utilization reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Stay current on developments in pharmacology and clinical research to inform practice and recommendations.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all clinical trials and research activities.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  11. Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures related to investigational drugs and clinical research.
  12. Mentor and train pharmacy staff on investigational drugs, clinical trials, and research practices.
  13. Represent the organization at conferences and other professional events related to investigational drugs and clinical research.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and protocols related to investigational drugs and clinical research to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Clinical Pharmacist In Investigational Drugs And Research Must Have A Pharmd Degree, Which Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy, And Pharmaceutical Sciences.

  • Residency Training In Clinical Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Residency Program Provides Advanced Training In A Specialized Area Of Pharmacy Practice, Such As Investigational Drugs And Research. This Experience Helps Pharmacists Develop The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Work In A Complex And Fast-Paced Research Environment.

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy Or Related Field: Board Certification Demonstrates A Pharmacist's Advanced Knowledge And Skills In A Specific Area Of Practice. A Clinical Pharmacist In Investigational Drugs And Research Should Be Certified By The Board Of Pharmacy Specialties (Bps) In Pharmacotherapy Or A Related Field, Such As Critical Care Or Oncology.

  • Experience In Clinical Research And Drug Development: Experience In Conducting Clinical Research And Drug Development Is Essential For A Clinical Pharmacist In Investigational Drugs And Research. This Includes Knowledge Of Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) Guidelines, Drug Development Regulations, And Clinical Trial Protocols.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills: A Clinical Pharmacist In Investigational Drugs And Research Must Possess Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Interpret Complex Clinical Data And Make Informed Decisions. They Should Also Be Able To Identify Potential Safety Concerns And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Risks Associated With Investigational Drugs.
