We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Director of Data Science to lead our growing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers. As the Director of Data Science, you will play a critical role in driving our data strategy and leveraging advanced analytics to support our business goals. - Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy for the organization, in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, providing direction, support, and mentorship to drive team success.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business insights and support decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data science techniques and tools, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and analysis of large and complex datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights.
- Communicate complex data findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance data capabilities and drive business success.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data science and analytics, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: A Director Of Data Science At Wageworks Should Possess A Graduate Degree In A Related Field Such As Statistics, Computer Science, Or Mathematics. This Advanced Degree Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Data Analysis And Technical Skills Needed For The Role.
Extensive Experience In Data Analysis: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Data Analysis, With A Focus On Predictive Modeling, Data Mining, And Statistical Analysis. This Experience Should Be Gained In A Corporate Setting And Showcase A Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Data-Driven Insights.
Leadership Skills: As A Director, The Candidate Must Have Strong Leadership Skills To Manage A Team Of Data Scientists And Analysts. This Includes The Ability To Set Goals, Provide Guidance, And Foster A Collaborative And Innovative Work Environment.
Business Acumen: A Successful Director Of Data Science At Wageworks Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Company's Business Goals And How Data Can Be Leveraged To Achieve Them. This Includes The Ability To Identify Opportunities For Data-Driven Decision Making And Communicate Findings To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Science Tools And Technologies, Including Programming Languages (Such As R And Python), Statistical Software (Such As Sas And Spss), And Database Management Systems (Such As Sql).
