Building Automation Technician

Troubleshoots, calibrates, repairs, and/or coordinates repair of field and panel mounted devices along with associated control algorithms for HVAC and building environmental automation systems. Assists with maintenance and operation of Fire Protection Systems, Security System. Assists in the design, installation and commissioning of new and modification of existing automation systems including but not limited to additional card readers, relocation of thermostats, installation of new VAV controllers as well implementation of various building automation hardware and computer software systems. Assists in the coordination of on-going construction activities and response to out-of-band environmental parameters. Provide detailed reports on equipment utilization. Provides training to others in the operation and repair of automated building systems. Percentage of time 5%. Performs other duties as needed. Percentage of time as required. May require rotating on-call status and occasional shift work including nights, holidays and weekend. Requires ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required.
