- Manage and maintain database systems in the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance, capacity, and replication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions to support business needs.
- Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data is protected and recoverable.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as patching and upgrades, to ensure systems are up to date and secure.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure accurate and effective use of database systems.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to cloud-based database administration.
- Proactively identify and resolve database performance and security issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and stakeholders on database-related matters.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the timely and effective resolution of any database-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Continuously monitor and analyze database performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Assist in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades to ensure a smooth transition to new systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any after-hours database emergencies as needed.
Strong Understanding Of Cloud Computing Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Computing Technologies, Such As Amazon Web Services (Aws), Microsoft Azure, And Google Cloud Platform. This Includes Knowledge Of Cloud-Based Database Services, Such As Amazon Rds, Microsoft Azure Sql Database, And Google Cloud Sql.
Extensive Experience In Database Administration: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Database Administration, With A Strong Background In Managing Databases In A Cloud Environment. This Includes Experience In Database Design, Installation, Configuration, Performance Tuning, Backup And Recovery, Security, And Troubleshooting.
Certification In Relevant Technologies: The Candidate Should Have Industry-Recognized Certifications In Cloud Computing And Database Administration, Such As Aws Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, And Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Knowledge Of Database Security Best Practices: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Database Security Best Practices And Experience In Implementing Security Measures To Protect Sensitive Data In A Cloud Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Encryption, Access Controls, And Data Masking Techniques.
