Sterile Processing Technician, Certified

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, and certification from a certified program in sterile processing technology is required. Additionally, the successful candidate must have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, sterilize, and store medical instruments and implants.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to sterile processing.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with established safety protocols.
• Follow all safety protocols when handling and disposing of medical instruments and implants.
• Maintain accurate records and logs related to the sterilization process.
• Ensure the quality of sterilized instruments and implants before they are used in patient care.
• Assist in the inventory of sterilized instruments and implants.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to the safe handling and disposal of medical instruments and implants.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure sterility of instruments and implants.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any sterilization problems that arise.
