- Greet and welcome patrons to the library, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with finding materials, answering questions, and resolving issues and concerns.
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials, ensuring they are easily accessible and in good condition.
- Develop and implement programming and events to engage the community and promote literacy, education, and lifelong learning.
- Assist patrons in utilizing library resources, including computers, databases, and online resources, and provide instruction and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and partners to promote library services and programs.
- Conduct reference interviews to determine patrons' information needs and provide accurate and helpful information and recommendations.
- Assist with the development and management of the library's budget, including purchasing materials and supplies.
- Stay up-to-date on current library trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve services and programs.
- Collaborate with other librarians and library staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation of the library.
Master's Degree In Library Science Or Information Science From An Accredited Institution.
Previous Experience Working In A Public Library Setting, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.
Knowledge Of Current Library Trends, Technologies, And Resources.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Diverse Populations.
Familiarity With Library Cataloging Systems And Databases, As Well As Proficiency In Research Methods.
