  1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with overall business objectives and drive business growth.
  2. Lead and manage a team of category managers to ensure effective execution of category strategies and achievement of targets.
  3. Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop category-specific strategies.
  5. Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  6. Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
  7. Identify and implement best practices in category management and strategic sourcing.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and increase efficiency.
  9. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in category management and strategic sourcing to inform decision-making.
  10. Communicate and present category management strategies and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  11. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to foster partnerships and drive value for the organization.
  12. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in category management and strategic sourcing.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  14. Monitor and manage category budget and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall financial goals.
  15. Represent Cigna in industry events and networking opportunities to stay abreast of market developments and build relationships with potential suppliers.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, And Procurement, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Large-Scale Projects.

  • Strong Analytical And Financial Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic Sourcing Initiatives That Drive Cost Savings And Improve Supplier Performance.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Stakeholders And External Suppliers To Achieve Business Goals.
