The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is currently seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses in Leader Development within our I/O Psychology program. Our dynamic and collaborative department is dedicated to providing students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the rapidly evolving field of psychology. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of leaders while also furthering your own professional development.   1. Develop and teach courses on leader development within the I/O Psychology program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
  2. Utilize your strong background in industrial and organizational psychology to create engaging and informative course material.
  3. Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective leaders in their future careers.
  4. Foster a dynamic and collaborative learning environment where students can thrive.
  5. Assess and evaluate student learning through assignments, exams, and other forms of assessment.
  6. Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of leader development and incorporate them into course material.
  7. Mentor and advise students on their academic and professional goals.
  8. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
  9. Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve and update the leader development curriculum.
  10. Actively participate in department meetings and committees to contribute to the overall success of the program.
  11. Maintain open and effective communication with students and colleagues.
  12. Continuously seek out opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of I/O psychology and leader development.
  13. Serve as a representative of the university and uphold its values and mission.
  14. Embody a passion for helping individuals reach their full potential in leadership and inspire students to do the same.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In I/O Psychology: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Industrial And Organizational Psychology Or A Related Field. A Ph.d. In I/O Psychology Or A Related Field Is Preferred.

  • Relevant Professional Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In The Field Of Leader Development, Preferably In A Corporate Or Organizational Setting. Experience In Teaching Or Training In This Area Is Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Current Industry Trends: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In The Latest Theories, Research, And Practices In The Field Of Leader Development Within The Context Of I/O Psychology. This Includes Knowledge Of Assessment Tools, Training Techniques, And Organizational Development Strategies.

  • Effective Communication And Teaching Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Concepts To Students With Varying Levels Of Knowledge And Experience. Prior Teaching Or Training Experience Is Preferred.
