Supervisor - Sterile Processing

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Supervisor of Sterile Processing to join the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) team. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring that all supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly sterilized and distributed accordingly. We are looking for a professional who will be a leader in the department, providing guidance, direction, and support to the Sterile Processing staff.To be successful in this role, the Supervisor of Sterile Processing must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sterile processing environment, as well as a Bachelor's degree in a related field. They must have a strong understanding of the regulations, safety standards, and guidelines related to sterile processing, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Above all, the successful candidate should be highly organized, motivated, and driven to ensure the department runs efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department
• Ensure that all supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly sterilized and distributed accordingly
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to the Sterile Processing staff
• Ensure the department runs efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all applicable regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department
• Ensure staff is properly trained and knowledgeable about all applicable regulations, safety standards, and guidelines related to sterile processing
• Maintain records and documentation of all departmental activities
• Communicate effectively with staff and other departments within the organization
