Caterpillar Expands Hiring Worldwide, Net Decline Follows

Caterpillar reports 355 new postings across regions worldwide, while 374 roles were removed, leaving a net decrease of 19.

Caterpillar released its latest job postings data, showing 355 new roles across regions including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Openings span engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, IT and talent management, with hubs in Mossville (Illinois), Irving (Texas), Peoria (Illinois), Decatur (Illinois), Desford (United Kingdom), as well as major markets in India, China and Brazil.

Many postings emphasize digital and automation capabilities, including AI-driven data analytics, autonomy validation, embedded software, control systems engineering and supplier development. The mix reflects Caterpillar’s ongoing push to expand its global manufacturing footprint while advancing digital initiatives and remote work options where feasible.

On the removals side, 374 roles were eliminated, resulting in a net decrease of 19 positions. The figures suggest portfolio adjustments across regions even as the company continues to recruit for growth areas and strategic programs.
