Water Reclamation Facility Operator

Collects and conducts tests on water samples in accordance with EPA and State regulations. Maintains complete and accurate records of facility operation functions, tests, results, and maintenance work performed. Operates a variety of mechanical gates and valves to regulate the flow of waste water through various treatment processes to ensure the production of effluent water. Performs treatment analysis and processes control tests. Adjusts equipment to maintain treatment parameters, and to maintain proper flows to ensure maximum efficiency of facility equipment. Inspects facility equipment, and reports any failures or operating difficulties, including initiating work orders and request repairs. Operates, adjusts, and performs basic maintenance of facility equipment to ensure compliance with established standards, including welding, fabrication, carpentry, and minor electrical repairs.
