- Conduct Cath Lab procedures: The Cath Lab Technologist II will be responsible for performing various diagnostic and interventional procedures on patients with cardiac conditions, including catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements.
- Operate equipment: The Technologist will be responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment used in the Cath Lab, including X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, and monitoring equipment. They must ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Ensure patient safety: The Technologist will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment in the Cath Lab. This includes following all safety protocols, maintaining infection control practices, and properly disposing of hazardous materials.
- Assist physicians: The Technologist will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in procedures, provide necessary tools and equipment, and monitor patients' vital signs during procedures.
- Document and maintain records: The Technologist will be responsible for accurately documenting all procedures, equipment used, and patient information in medical records. They must also ensure all records are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate with patients and families: The Technologist will be responsible for explaining procedures and answering any questions patients and their families may have. They must also provide clear post-procedure instructions and address any concerns.
- Train and mentor junior staff: The Cath Lab Technologist II will be responsible for training and mentoring new staff members, ensuring they are proficient in all procedures and equipment operation.
- Stay updated on industry advancements: The Technologist must stay current on new techniques, equipment, and procedures in the Cath Lab field. They must also attend relevant training and workshops to continuously improve their skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to hospital policies: The Technologist must adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including ethical standards, patient privacy, and safety protocols.

Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Cath Lab Technologist Or Equivalent Role In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Current Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) Or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (Rcvt).
Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Complex Cardiac Catheterization Equipment And Imaging Systems.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Hemodynamics.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment, Demonstrating Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills.
