1. Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance on campus buildings and facilities.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues.
3. Install and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
4. Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems and identify potential problems.
5. Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and resolve them efficiently.
6. Collaborate with other members of the Facilities team to prioritize and complete tasks.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
9. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other campus staff.
10. Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize plumbing systems and processes.
11. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate them into work practices.
12. Provide exceptional customer service to campus staff, faculty, and students.
13. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergency plumbing services.
14. Manage inventory and order necessary supplies for plumbing projects.
15. Train and mentor junior plumbers or apprentices, as needed.
16. Adhere to Caltech's policies and procedures.
17. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
18. Attend meetings and trainings as required.
19. Represent Caltech in a professional and positive manner.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
