Assistant Brewer
BJ's Restaurants is seeking a talented and passionate Assistant Brewer to join our team! As an Assistant Brewer, you will assist in the production and maintenance of our high-quality, handcrafted beers that are the backbone of our brewery. - Assist in the production of high-quality, handcrafted beers, following established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized brewery environment, ensuring all equipment and work areas are sanitized and in proper working order.
- Monitor and record fermentation and other key brewing parameters to ensure consistency and quality of beer.
- Collaborate with the Head Brewer to develop new and innovative beer recipes.
- Assist in the ordering and inventory management of brewing ingredients and supplies.
- Conduct regular quality control checks, including sensory analysis and laboratory testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the brewing process.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to sanitation standards to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Train and mentor brewing team members on brewing techniques, safety procedures, and quality control measures.
- Continuously monitor and improve brewing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
- Assist with canning, bottling, and kegging of finished beer.
- Assist with brewery tours and events, educating guests on the brewing process and our beers.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in brewing techniques.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the BJ's brand.
Knowledge And Experience In Brewing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Brewing, Including Hands-On Experience With Brewing Equipment And Processes.
Attention To Detail: Assistant Brewers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail In Order To Ensure The Quality And Consistency Of Bj's Beer. They Should Also Possess Excellent Troubleshooting Skills To Identify And Resolve Any Issues That Arise During The Brewing Process.
Physical Fitness: Brewing Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Lifting, Standing, And Working In Hot And Humid Environments. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks For Extended Periods Of Time.
