The State of New York is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as the Youth Facility Assistant Director 3. As the Assistant Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our youth facility and providing guidance and support to our staff.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the youth facility and ensure that all staff are following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Provide guidance and support to staff in their interactions with youth residents, including managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive behavior interventions.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for youth residents and staff.
  4. Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide feedback and training as needed to ensure high-quality services are provided to youth.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate services and programs for youth residents.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards for youth facilities.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and opportunities for youth residents.
  8. Manage budget and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility.
  9. Represent the facility in meetings and presentations to stakeholders, including state officials, community leaders, and families of youth residents.
  10. Stay current on best practices in youth development and incorporate them into the facility's programming and services.
  11. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  12. Serve as a role model for youth residents and staff, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and empathy in all interactions.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Handle any crises or emergencies that may arise in the facility.
  15. Develop and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the facility.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Working With At-Risk Youth In A Residential Or Community-Based Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Staff.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Youth Facilities And Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Staff, Residents, And Community Partners.
