At Natera, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our production bioinformatics pipelines.   1. Develop and implement software testing strategies and procedures to ensure the quality and accuracy of bioinformatics pipelines.
  2. Conduct thorough and rigorous testing of software applications, identifying and reporting any issues or defects.
  3. Collaborate with software developers and bioinformatics scientists to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
  4. Utilize a variety of testing techniques, such as functional, regression, and integration testing, to validate the functionality and reliability of software.
  5. Document and maintain test cases and results in a clear and organized manner.
  6. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of the software.
  7. Continuously monitor and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software quality assurance.
  9. Demonstrate a strong understanding of software development processes and contribute to the improvement of these processes.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and any potential issues.
  11. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that software meets all functional and technical requirements.
  12. Participate in the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools.
  13. Adhere to company and industry standards and regulations related to software quality assurance.
  14. Mentor and train junior team members in software testing best practices.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence in software quality and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Software Quality Engineering, Preferably In A Biotechnology Or Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Bioinformatics Pipelines And Associated Tools And Technologies.

  • Experience With Automated Testing Frameworks And Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Ci/Cd) Processes.

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Standards Such As Iso 13485 And Fda Guidelines For Software Development.
