  1. Provide expert nursing care to patients with critical cardiac conditions in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition to identify any changes or potential complications.
  4. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plan, and self-care techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
  7. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, prioritize, and respond to emergent situations in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced nurses, providing guidance and support as needed.
  10. Continuously assess and improve patient care through participation in quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
  11. Adhere to legal and ethical standards of nursing practice and uphold the mission and values of the organization.
  12. Demonstrate a strong sense of compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, providing emotional support and advocating for their needs.
  13. Maintain current knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training in critical care nursing and cardiac care.
  14. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of South Carolina

  • Bls And Acls Certification
