Job Description

At Mercy, we are looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide our patients with the highest quality of care. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders in adults and/or children.To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and current licensure in the state of practice. Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and diagnose patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  2. Create individualized treatment plans for patients based on evaluations.
  3. Educate patients and families about the diagnosis and treatment plan.
  4. Monitor the progress of treatment and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and documentation on patient progress.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  8. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
