Madera County is a county located in the central portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 150,865. The county seat is Madera. Madera County comprises the Madera, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located in the eastern San Joaquin Valley and the central Sierra Nevada. The southeasternmost part of Yosemite National Park is located in the county's northeast.
