Job Description

If so, Kettering Health Network is looking for a Sleep Tech Certified to join our team! As a Sleep Tech Certified, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, improving the quality of life for our patients.   1. Conduct sleep studies and evaluations to diagnose sleep disorders in patients.
  2. Monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies, such as brain waves, heart rate, and breathing patterns.
  3. Administer and monitor treatment for sleep disorders, such as CPAP therapy or medication.
  4. Interpret sleep study results and provide detailed reports to physicians for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  5. Educate patients on sleep disorders, treatments, and lifestyle changes to improve sleep quality.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including sleep study data and treatment plans.
  7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  8. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during sleep studies and treatments.
  9. Stay up-to-date on advancements in sleep disorder treatments and technologies.
  10. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to sleep studies and patient care.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address any questions or concerns.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
  14. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  15. Adhere to all Kettering Health Network policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Certification As A Sleep Technologist, Preferably From The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Sleep Lab Setting Is Required, With Experience In Conducting And Scoring Sleep Studies, As Well As Performing Cpap And Bipap Titrations.

  • Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders: The Candidate Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Various Sleep Disorders, Their Symptoms, And Treatment Options.

  • Technical Skills: Strong Technical Skills Are Required, Including Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Polysomnography Equipment, As Well As Familiarity With Various Software And Computer Programs Used In Sleep Studies.

  • Teamwork And Communication: Excellent Teamwork And Communication Skills Are Essential, As The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Other Sleep Technologists, Physicians, And Patients. The Ability To Maintain Accurate And Detailed Records Is Also Important.
