- Develop and implement strategic plans for the university's facilities, design, and planning, in alignment with the overall goals and mission of the institution.
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction of new facilities and renovations, ensuring that they meet the needs of the university's diverse community and support its educational and research objectives.
- Manage a team of professionals responsible for facilities planning, design, and construction, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to understand their needs and incorporate their input into the design and planning process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards in the design and construction of facilities, including accessibility, safety, and sustainability requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities, design, and planning projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of current facilities and identify opportunities for improvement, enhancement, or expansion to better support the university's mission.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in facilities management, design, and planning, and incorporate them into the university's practices and processes.
- Foster a culture of innovation and sustainability in all aspects of facilities planning and design, seeking out and implementing new technologies and strategies to reduce the university's environmental footprint.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and external partners, such as architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors, to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the university community, providing updates, progress reports, and recommendations on facilities, design, and planning projects.
- Uphold the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of facilities planning, design, and management.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the university's educational and research goals and incorporate them into the planning and design of facilities.

Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Design, And Planning, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Role.
Bachelor's Degree In Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Or Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.
Proven Track Record In Successfully Managing Complex Projects And Budgets, Preferably In A Large Academic Or Research Institution.
Strong Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Regulations Related To Facilities Management, Design, And Planning.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Senior Leadership, Faculty, Staff, And External Partners.
