Cytotechnologist

In addition, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of cytology experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and examine cells and tissue samples in order to detect abnormal cell growth and diagnosis of disease.
2. Adhere to the standards and regulations set by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
3. Ensure accuracy and consistency of all work performed.
4. Maintain organized records of all cytology tests and results.
5. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
6. Stay up to date on emerging technologies, methods, and regulations.
7. Train and mentor other cytotechnologists.
8. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
9. Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment when necessary.
10. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
