  1. Develop and maintain actuarial models and projections to support strategic decision making for the Health Plan division.
  2. Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to assess the financial health and viability of the health plan.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  4. Provide recommendations for pricing and product development based on actuarial analysis.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and requirements related to actuarial functions.
  6. Lead the actuarial team and provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners.
  8. Conduct regular reviews and audits of actuarial processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to inform business decisions and maintain the financial stability of the health plan.
  10. Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  11. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of actuarial data and financial results.
  12. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the financial performance of the health plan.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to other departments on actuarial matters.
  14. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external actuarial consultants to support business needs.
  15. Act as a representative of the organization in industry conferences and events related to actuarial functions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Or A Related Field.

  • Associate Or Fellow Designation With The Society Of Actuaries.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In An Actuarial Role, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Or Management Position.

  • Strong Understanding Of Health Insurance Products And Pricing, Including Medicare And Medicaid.

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present Complex Actuarial Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
