Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all campus venues, including scheduling, maintenance, and event logistics.
- Manage a team of venue staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Collaborate with various departments and event organizers to coordinate and execute events, including booking, set-up, and breakdown.
- Maintain accurate records of venue usage and inventory, including contracts, payments, and event details.
- Ensure compliance with all university policies and procedures, as well as local and state regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and improve overall venue operations.
- Monitor and manage venue budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular inspections of venues to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for event organizers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event management, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote and market campus venues to potential clients.
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the venue and production management department.
- Other duties as assigned by the Venue and Production Manager.
Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Event Management, Hospitality Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Event Planning And Operations, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Large-Scale Venue Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices, Including Event Logistics, Budget Management, And Contract Negotiations.
