
Program Manager, Hazardous Waste and Remediation

- Develop and implement strategies for effective management of hazardous waste and remediation activities within Delta Air Lines.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and company policies related to hazardous waste and remediation.
- Oversee the hazardous waste and remediation program budget and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices for hazardous waste management and remediation.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stay up-to-date on any changes in environmental laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies regarding hazardous waste and remediation activities.
- Manage and train a team of environmental specialists to support the hazardous waste and remediation program.
- Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the hazardous waste and remediation program.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration on environmental initiatives.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the success of the hazardous waste and remediation program.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in hazardous waste management and remediation.
- Proactively identify and address potential environmental risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Ensure all hazardous waste and remediation activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Represent Delta Air Lines in environmental compliance matters and maintain a positive reputation for the company's environmental efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Managing Hazardous Waste And Remediation Projects In A Large Organization.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Hazardous Waste Management And Remediation.
Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Develop And Implement Project Plans, Manage Budgets, And Ensure Compliance With Deadlines.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
