Job Description

At Deaconess Health System, we are looking for a talented and motivated Cytotechnologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for healthcare and the necessary qualifications to accurately analyze and interpret cytology specimens. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, organized, and attentive to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working with computers and various laboratory equipment. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Cytotechnology• Previous experience in a cytology laboratory is preferred• ASCP or equivalent certification• Knowledge of laboratory regulations and safety standards• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately analyze and interpret cytology specimens.
  2. Maintain a reliable and organized work environment.
  3. Follow laboratory regulations and safety standards.
  4. Use computers and various laboratory equipment.
  5. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Keep up with advances in cytology techniques and technology.
  7. Prepare reports and documents related to cytology laboratory findings.
  8. Maintain accurate records of patient information.
  9. Communicate with other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
  10. Provide support and guidance to medical staff and other healthcare personnel.
