Registered Nurse, Stroke Neuro

1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients suffering from strokes.
2. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for stroke patients.
3. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, monitor, and document patient progress and response to treatments.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure understanding and collaboration in the care of stroke patients.
5. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address potential complications or changes in patient condition.

7. Stay current with developments in stroke care and incorporate evidence-based practices into nursing care.
8. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
9. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
10. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding stroke prevention, management, and rehabilitation.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of stroke care.
12. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure a seamless transition of care for stroke patients.
13. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families during a difficult and vulnerable time.
14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
15. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
16. Participate in professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
17. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
18. Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced nurses on the stroke neuro unit.
