- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs for chemical operations in accordance with 3M standards and applicable regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety and environmental management systems for chemical operations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks in chemical operations.
- Provide guidance and support to site leaders and employees on EHS issues and best practices.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees in chemical operations.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken.
- Stay informed of industry trends and changes in EHS regulations and proactively make adjustments to company policies and procedures as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through communication, engagement, and recognition programs.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external agencies and stakeholders related to EHS for chemical operations.
- Develop and manage the EHS budget for chemical operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for EHS performance in chemical operations.
- Represent 3M in EHS forums and industry events as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Chemical Operations And/Or Environmental Health And Safety Management.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Chemical Manufacturing And Environmental Protection.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage And Develop A Team Of Ehs Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Information To Diverse Stakeholders.
