Welcome to Volvo Group, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Intern for our Industrial/Transportation Designer, Interiors position.   1. Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and functional interior designs for commercial vehicles, buses, construction equipment, and marine and industrial engines.
  2. Research and analyze current industry trends and customer needs to inform design decisions.
  3. Utilize software and hand-sketching techniques to create sketches and renderings of interior designs.
  4. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve designs.
  5. Assist with the creation of 3D models and prototypes for testing and evaluation.
  6. Collaborate with engineers and product developers to ensure designs meet technical requirements and standards.
  7. Keep up-to-date with advancements in materials, technology, and manufacturing processes to incorporate into designs.
  8. Communicate and present design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
  9. Follow project timelines and meet deadlines for deliverables.
  10. Maintain organization of design files and documents.
  11. Attend team meetings and provide updates on project progress.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for growth and improvement within the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Industrial Or Transportation Design: A Strong Educational Background In Industrial Or Transportation Design Is Essential For An Intern In This Role. This Qualification Demonstrates A Solid Understanding Of Design Principles, Materials, And Processes.

  • Proficiency In 3D Design Software: An Intern At Volvo Group Should Be Well-Versed In 3D Design Software Such As Autocad, Solidworks, Or Catia. Proficiency In These Programs Is Necessary For Creating Accurate And Detailed Designs.
