- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments and performances.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of music education.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency and alignment in course content and expectations.
- Hold regular office hours to provide support and guidance to students outside of class.
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide grades in a timely manner.
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities, including curriculum development and assessment.
- Actively engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the field of music.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting a passion for music and lifelong learning.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures, as well as the code of ethics for music educators.
- Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with colleagues, students, and staff.
- Represent the university and the music department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the music department and the university.
A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Music Or A Related Field, Such As Music Education Or Music Performance.
Prior Teaching Experience At The Collegiate Level, Including Experience With Curriculum Development And Assessment.
Demonstrated Expertise And Experience In A Specific Area Of Music, Such As Music Theory, Music History, Or Performance.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Motivate Students.
Active Participation And Contributions To The Music Industry, Such As Performances, Publications, Or Professional Memberships.
