We are seeking an organized and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our Cell and Molecular Biology team at the University of Mississippi Medical Center! In this role, you will be the main point of contact for our team, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the willingness to learn new skills.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in biology, cell and molecular biology, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in an administrative role• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with accuracy and precision
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Cell and Molecular Biology team, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.
- Manage and prioritize the team's tasks and responsibilities.
- Create and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Manage and coordinate meetings and events.
- Assist with financial activities such as budgeting, invoicing, and tracking expenses.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
