In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients by coordinating their access to our rehabilitation services.   • Coordinate patient access to rehabilitation services by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and other systems to accurately document patient information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate scheduling of appointments and treatments.
  • Utilize knowledge of insurance plans and coverage to assist patients in understanding their benefits and potential financial responsibility.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members on patient access processes and procedures.
  • Continuously monitor and improve processes to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of UC Health's rehabilitation services and stay updated on any changes or updates.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to improve patient access processes and overall patient care.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of UC Health, demonstrating the organization's values and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Patient Access Processes And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Insurance Coverage And Billing Requirements, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Plans.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Other Relevant Software Programs.
