- Coordinate patient access to rehabilitation services by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Utilize electronic medical records and other systems to accurately document patient information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate scheduling of appointments and treatments.
- Utilize knowledge of insurance plans and coverage to assist patients in understanding their benefits and potential financial responsibility.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members on patient access processes and procedures.
- Continuously monitor and improve processes to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of UC Health's rehabilitation services and stay updated on any changes or updates.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to improve patient access processes and overall patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of UC Health, demonstrating the organization's values and commitment to exceptional patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Patient Access Processes And Procedures.
Knowledge Of Insurance Coverage And Billing Requirements, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance Plans.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Other Relevant Software Programs.
