  1. Receive and organize incoming merchandise shipments in an efficient and timely manner.
  2. Ensure accuracy of inventory records by carefully checking and documenting received items.
  3. Safely and properly store merchandise in designated locations.
  4. Assist with inventory counts and restocking shelves as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by helping customers locate merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
  7. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
  8. Follow all company safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to receiving, storing, and handling merchandise.
  10. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  11. Cross-train in various areas of store operations to assist with coverage and support.
  12. Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and productivity in the receiving and storing processes.
  13. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all job duties.
  14. Promote a positive and professional image of The Home Depot at all times.
  15. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: The Freight/Receiving Associate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift And Move Heavy Items, As This Job Requires Loading And Unloading Trucks, Moving Pallets, And Stocking Shelves.
