  1. Conduct intake interviews with individuals placed on probation to assess their needs and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
  2. Monitor and document the progress of individuals on probation, including their compliance with court-ordered conditions and treatment programs.
  3. Provide guidance and support to individuals on probation, helping them address any challenges or barriers to successful rehabilitation.
  4. Collaborate with other criminal justice professionals, such as judges and attorneys, to ensure the proper administration of probation programs.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough case files and reports, including documentation of interactions with individuals on probation and any changes in their progress or circumstances.
  6. Conduct home visits and drug/alcohol screenings to ensure compliance with probation conditions.
  7. Refer individuals to community resources and services, such as job training or mental health treatment, to support their rehabilitation.
  8. Monitor and enforce court-ordered restitution and community service requirements.
  9. Provide testimony in court regarding the progress and compliance of individuals on probation.
  10. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of probation and criminal justice.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with individuals on probation.
  12. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective functioning of the probation system.
  14. Handle crisis situations and make appropriate decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals on probation and the community.
  15. Serve as a positive role model and advocate for individuals on probation, promoting their successful reintegration into society.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Probation And Parole.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Experience In A Corrections Or Probation Setting.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Obtain Necessary Certifications, Such As Cpr And First Aid Training.
