  1. Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols and treatment plans.
  2. Monitor and assess patient response to treatment, reporting any adverse reactions to the appropriate medical personnel.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure high-quality patient care.
  4. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy of treatments.
  5. Educate patients and their families about the radiation therapy process, including potential side effects and aftercare.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting all treatments and interactions.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
  8. Participate in quality assurance activities and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in radiation therapy technology and techniques, attending training and educational opportunities as needed.
  10. Provide support and assistance to colleagues and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  11. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  13. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed by the organization.
  14. Adhere to all Piedmont Healthcare policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of radiation therapy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Radiation Therapist, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting.

  • Proficient In Operating And Maintaining Radiation Therapy Equipment, Including Linear Accelerators And Ct Simulators.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals.
