VA Adds 863 Jobs Across States

VA posted 863 new job openings nationwide across clinical, administrative, and support roles.

VA released a nationwide update listing 863 new job openings across clinical, administrative, and facilities roles. Openings span physicians, mental health professionals, nurses, health technicians, IT specialists, and support staff. Notable postings include Marriage and Family Therapist in Corpus Christi, Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor in Corpus Christi and McAllen, and a Primary Care Physician in Junction City. The postings cover a broad geographic spread, including California, Texas, New York, and Florida, among others.

In the same update, 1,084 postings were removed, resulting in a net decline of 221 openings. The removals affected roles such as psychiatrists, anesthesiologists, and certain nursing and clinical positions across several locations. This shift may reflect realignment or program changes within the department.

Overall, the current wave shows continued, broad-based hiring across the VA, with emphasis on expanding mental health services, primary care, and care coordination, while also adjusting the overall postings count.
