Macy's Adds 550 Jobs Nationwide

Macy's released activity data showing 550 new job postings on August 16, 2026 across its store network, spanning roles from Retail Sales Associate and Asset Protection Officer to fragrance brand experts and Starbucks daily-operations staff. The postings include a mix of part-time and full-time opportunities across many locations and brands the retailer carries.

The openings span major markets and a range of functions, including front-line sales, merchandising, store operations, and specialty brand roles at locations such as Oak Brook Center, Pembroke Lakes, and Goodyear. Examples include positions in fragrance brands like Chanel, Dior, and Byredo, as well as general retail roles across the Macy's ecosystem.

Despite the large number of new postings, overall the data show a net decrease of about 101 roles from the prior period, reflecting ongoing swings in U.S. retail hiring. Macy's continues to maintain a broad recruiting footprint across its stores and operations.
