British Airways Adds 8 Roles, Net Workforce Decline

British Airways added eight roles across Heathrow and other UK sites, while cutting fourteen positions, resulting in a net workforce decline.

British Airways has announced eight new roles across its UK operations. The postings include Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) positions for Airbus and Embraer at Heathrow, a Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor, a Customs Administrator at Heathrow, a BA Cityflyer Procurement Executive (12-month fixed-term) in Didsbury, a Flight Simulator Engineer at Heathrow, and Direct Entry Pilot roles at London City Airport and Heathrow for long-haul operations with a UK CAA license. These roles reflect continued investment in technical and operational capabilities across key hubs.

In parallel, the carrier is removing fourteen positions across several sites, including BA Cityflyer Maintrol Engineer in Didsbury, B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineer (Part 66) at London City Airport, Overseas Station Engineer at Heathrow, and multiple Harmondsworth roles such as PCI Compliance Executive, Data Governance Lead, Consent Management Executive, Lead Proactive Customer Care Operational Delivery Manager, Proactive Customer Care Operational Delivery Manager, Global Operations Flight Dispatcher, BA Cityflyer Fleet Performance Engineer, Resource Delivery Executive, and Senior Leadership & Business Support Executive. The net effect is a decrease of six jobs overall.
