Job Description

  1. Provide medication therapy management services to Molina Healthcare members.
  2. Ensure safe and effective use of medications by reviewing and monitoring medication regimens.
  3. Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and make recommendations for optimizing therapy.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement medication management plans.
  5. Communicate with members to educate them on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interactions and interventions.
  7. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to medication therapy management.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current on best practices in medication therapy management.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to promote integrated care for members.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  11. Act as a liaison between members, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team.
  12. Monitor and report on medication utilization and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with implementing changes to improve patient care.
  14. Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  15. Provide excellent customer service to members and internal stakeholders.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Candidates For This Role Should Have A Valid Cpht Certification From An Accredited Organization, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha). This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Knowledge Of Clinical/Mtm Guidelines: Molina Healthcare Requires Pharmacy Technicians In This Role To Have A Strong Understanding Of Clinical And Medication Therapy Management (Mtm) Guidelines. This Includes Knowledge Of Drug Interactions, Dosage Calculations, And Medication Therapy Protocols.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Physician's Office. This Experience Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Highly Regulated Environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Pharmacy Technician In A Clinical/Mtm Role. They Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team To Ensure Safe And Accurate Medication Therapy.

  • Attention To Detail: Pharmacy Technicians At Molina Healthcare Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Enter And Review Medication Orders, As Well As Prepare And Dispense Medications. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure Patient Safety And Prevent Medication Errors.
