  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the Emergency Department in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available for medical staff.
  3. Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
  4. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records of patient appointments and admissions.
  5. Verify insurance information and assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  6. Assist medical staff with data entry and recordkeeping, including updating patient charts and inputting test results.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Emergency Department.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment, placing orders when needed.
  9. Assist with patient transfers and ensure proper documentation and communication between facilities.
  10. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. Participate in department meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  13. Provide administrative support to emergency department physicians and nurses as needed.
  14. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and visitors at all times.
  15. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Emergency Department Manager.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In An Emergency Department Or Other Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients, Family Members, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Proficient Computer Skills, Including Data Entry And Use Of Electronic Medical Records Systems.

  • Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
