  1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality and innovative software solutions using Java, Cloud, and Cognos technologies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all backend systems.
  4. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices.
  5. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix any issues in the software.
  6. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in order to continuously improve and enhance our software solutions.
  7. Work with project managers and stakeholders to plan and prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise in the software.
  9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  10. Continuously monitor and optimize systems to ensure optimal performance.
  11. Mentor and train junior developers to enhance their technical skills.
  12. Adhere to IBM's coding standards and processes.
  13. Maintain accurate documentation of all development activities.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of projects.
  15. Proactively identify and propose solutions to improve the overall software development process.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Java Programming Language: A Strong Understanding And Experience In Java Programming Is A Key Requirement For A Backend Developer At Ibm. This Includes Knowledge Of Core Java Concepts, Object-Oriented Programming, And Frameworks Such As Spring And Hibernate.

  • Experience With Cloud Technologies: Ibm Is A Leader In Cloud Computing, And As A Backend Developer, It Is Essential To Have Experience Working With Cloud Technologies Such As Aws, Azure, Or Ibm Cloud. Knowledge Of Cloud Deployment, Scaling, And Monitoring Is Crucial For This Role.

  • Familiarity With Cognos Analytics: As A Backend Developer At Ibm, Having Experience With Cognos Analytics Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Modeling, Report Development, And Dashboard Creation Using Cognos Analytics.

  • Understanding Of Microservices Architecture: Ibm Follows A Microservices Architecture For Its Applications, And A Backend Developer Should Have A Good Understanding Of This Concept. This Includes Knowledge Of Containerization, Service Discovery, And Api Design.
