  1. Develop and implement sustainable programs and initiatives in collaboration with various departments and organizations.
  2. Conduct research and analysis on current environmental practices and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of environmental programs, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  4. Create and maintain partnerships with community groups, businesses, and other stakeholders to promote environmental sustainability.
  5. Plan and facilitate educational workshops and events to raise awareness about sustainable practices.
  6. Monitor and track program progress and effectiveness, and prepare reports for upper management.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental protection and conservation.
  8. Collaborate with park staff to identify and implement sustainable practices in park maintenance and operations.
  9. Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on sustainable practices to internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in environmental sustainability and incorporate them into program development.
  11. Participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives related to environmental sustainability.
  12. Train and supervise staff and volunteers involved in environmental programs and activities.
  13. Represent the department at public meetings and events related to environmental conservation.
  14. Foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability within the department and the community.
  15. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Coordination Or Project Management Role, Preferably In The Parks And Recreation Or Environmental Field.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Regulations And Initiatives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Community Groups, Government Agencies, And Park Staff.

  • Strong Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Manage Multiple Projects And Tasks Within Deadlines.
