
Merchandising & Demand Planning Analyst

- Conduct market research and analyze customer demand to identify trends and opportunities for product assortment optimization.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to develop and maintain accurate product demand forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to make data-driven decisions regarding inventory levels and product assortment.
- Utilize various data analysis tools and techniques to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing and secure product availability.
- Monitor product performance and make recommendations for product promotions or markdowns based on sales data.
- Identify and communicate potential inventory risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and present findings to management.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate industry and market trends to inform product assortment decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and recommendations on product assortment and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that align with inventory levels and customer demand.
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to streamline merchandising and demand planning processes.
- Stay updated on new and emerging technologies in the retail industry and make recommendations for incorporating them into product assortment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and demand planning.
- Train and mentor junior team members on best practices for merchandising and demand planning analysis.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.
2-3 Years Of Experience In Merchandising, Demand Planning, Or Inventory Management.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Proficiency In Using Retail Merchandising And Demand Planning Software, Such As Jda Or Oracle.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Other Teams.
