- Review and process workers compensation claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with medical providers to ensure appropriate and timely treatment for injured employees.
- Communicate with injured employees and their supervisors to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of their claims.
- Conduct investigations to determine the validity of workers compensation claims.
- Evaluate medical records and other supporting documentation to determine the appropriate level of compensation for injured employees.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims and related activities.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and legal representatives to resolve disputed claims.
- Stay up-to-date on state laws and regulations regarding workers compensation to ensure compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service to injured employees and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Identify and report any potential fraudulent activities related to workers compensation claims.
- Work closely with other members of the workers compensation team to ensure a smooth and efficient claims process.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in workers compensation.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling sensitive information related to workers compensation claims.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
Minimum Education And Experience: A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Business Administration, And A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Workers Compensation Claims Handling.
Knowledge Of Workers Compensation Laws And Regulations: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Workers Compensation Laws And Regulations, As Well As Knowledge Of The Healthcare Industry And Medical Terminology.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Job Requires Frequent Communication With Injured Workers, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Carriers. The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage These Relationships.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Accurately Evaluate Medical Records And Make Appropriate Decisions Regarding The Treatment And Care Of Injured Workers.
