1. Attend to the needs of laboring mothers and newborns during the birthing process, providing compassionate support and care.

6. Utilize specialized knowledge and skills as a Surgical/OB Tech to assist with surgical procedures, including but not limited to cesarean sections, forceps deliveries, and vacuum deliveries.
7. Monitor and record vital signs and other relevant patient information, communicating any changes or concerns to the medical team.
8. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the birthing process.
9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures, following all HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
10. Continuously update and expand knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
13. Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
14. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
