As a Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and facilities.   1. Monitor and patrol the healthcare facility during night shifts to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and facilities.
  2. Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or security breaches, in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Conduct regular security checks and inspections of all areas of the healthcare facility to identify potential security risks.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors to provide information and assistance as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the security team to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
  6. Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity.
  7. Train and educate staff on security procedures and emergency response protocols.
  8. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and other security-related activities.
  9. Report any security concerns or breaches to the appropriate authorities and follow up on any necessary actions.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve security measures to ensure the highest level of safety for all individuals within the healthcare facility.
  11. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to improve the overall security of the healthcare facility.
  12. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times, reflecting the values and mission of Yale New Haven Health System.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Security Or Law Enforcement Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Emergency Response And Crisis Management.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Staff, Patients, And Visitors.

  • Proficiency In Using Security Technology, Such As Cctv Systems, Access Control Systems, And Incident Reporting Software.

  • Must Be Able To Work Independently And In A Team, And Have The Physical Ability To Handle Potentially Volatile Situations.
