
RN; Registered Nurse-ED Crisis Psychiatry

- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients in the Emergency Department for Crisis Psychiatry.
- Utilize expertise in emergency or crisis psychiatry to assess and treat patients with mental health needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' mental and physical health status, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and crises in the Emergency Department.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families during difficult times.
- Collaborate with community resources to ensure patients have access to necessary resources and support upon discharge.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Serve as a role model for nursing excellence and professionalism.
- Uphold the mission and values of Yale New Haven Health System in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment.
A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Connecticut
A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Emergency Department Or Crisis Psychiatry Nursing
