- Monitor and assess the health status of pediatric patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition, and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive care measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies and changes in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Stay current on advancements in pediatric care and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily nursing practice.
