Welcome to Yale New Haven Health System! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric SWAT team.   1. Provide specialized pediatric nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  2. Collaborate with other members of the pediatric SWAT team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and assess patient's condition, report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  5. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
  10. Demonstrate professionalism and compassion when interacting with patients and their families.
  11. Serve as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  12. Follow established policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and promote quality and safe patient care.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  14. Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment with colleagues.
  15. Act as a resource and mentor for new team members and nursing students.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited University Or College.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Nursing, With Previous Experience In A Pediatric Swat Role Preferred.

  • Current Bls And Pals Certifications.

  • Strong Clinical Assessment And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations And Make Quick Decisions In Emergency Situations.
