  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  3. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
  4. Monitor patient vital signs and assess for any changes in condition.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  9. Advocate for the needs and rights of pediatric patients.
  10. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
  11. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Nursing.

  • Certification In Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) And/Or Pediatric Nursing Certification (Cpn).

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
